Google Loves Spam

Before you get all hot and bothered, I’m not talking about email Spam.

No, the Spam I’m referring to is good ol’ Hormel produced, Monty Python lovin’ Canned Spam… and Google Loves it!

At least someone at Google does.

And being a recovering Python addict, I hold a special place in my heart for this canned ‘ham’ product myself.

Not that I eat it; gross. I know there must be tons of people out there that regularly sit around a steaming plate of Spam, but I’m not one of them.

I lean more towards Vegetarianism than Carnivore-ism (not because I love animals though, mostly because I hate plants!)

I don’t know whether Google is a closet-case fan of British Humor or American canned hamesque foods but either way, it gives me a good chuckle every time I log into my gmail account.

Don’t know what I’m talking about? The next time you delete mail in the SPAM folder within your gmail account, take a look at the contextual ad Google is displaying on the page.

If you’re a fan of Spam (Hormel brand that is) you’ll really want to check this out, because Google seems to have a bottomless list of yummy Spam recipes to displays in your Spam folder.

Todays tasty treat was:

Spam Fajitas - Serves 8, add extra salsa if desired

MMMMM… Spam Fajitas…

or how about:

Spam Quiche - Makes 4 servings

or how about the more erudite:

Vineyard Spam Salad - Combine grapes, spam, peapods and onions in large bowl

D’lish! Oh, gimme some of that!

Well, I’ve always said Google has something for everyone.

Hormel Canned Spam - Yummy Goodness
